BV Panduranga Rao, Former Sr Manager, SAIL, Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai is aFreelance Cartoonist, now settled in Bangalore.. Mr Rao 65years, a Cartoonist by hobby started Cartooning in 1964 and acquired Diploma in Cartooning from Raye Burns School of Cartooning , (USA) New Delhi in 1965.

His cartoons over 3000 on various subjects like Politics, Social Satire, Environment, Industrial Management, HRD, Sports, AIDs, Anti smoking, Water Conservation etc have been published in various News Dailies, Magazines, Techcnical Journals, in- house publications etc in Kannada, Hindi and English languazes. His cartoons have been used for Posters, Slide shows, Novels, Cover pages, Hoardings etc. He is practicing 2D animation too in Flash.
He has been awarded 12 times at the state and national level cartoon Contests. His cartoons have been recognised 26 times at the Inter National Cartoon contests at Taiwan, Korea, Russia,Serbia, Israel, Portugal,Turkey, Cyprus, Croatia, Brazil, Switzerland, India with Awards, selected for exhibitions and printed in Cartoon Catalogue brought out by the organisers. His cartoons have ben selected for the Anadolu Univesity, Turkey World Museum.
He has conducted 35 times one man show of his cartoons in different parts of the country. His cartoons exclusively on the subject ‘Environment’ have been exhibited over 15 times.
He has been conducting Cartoon Work shop for young talents and has created over 35 his own blogs posted with over 200 cartoons on various themes.
He represented Bhilai Steel Plant in Cricket and Madhya Pradesh division in Cricket and Shuttle Badminton. He was also State panel cricket umpire, officiated in Divisional and All India Cricket tournaments.
He has been felicitated by various organisations and institutions and also featured in New Delhi Doordarshan and Chandana Channel Bangalore in interview programmes.
The achievements of Mr Panduranga Rao in the field of Cartooning has the honour of being entered in the India Book of Records 2010 and limca Book of Records
